The White Lion will be re-opening on Tuesday 29th May.
The White Lion is a restored coaching inn dating from 1703, in the village of Selling, close to the beautiful walks of Perry Woods.
A gem of a country pub with its hop-decorated bars and open fires, the White Lion is quite rightly listed in the Good Pub Guide. Great food is a priority here with pride being taken in sourcing produce locally whenever possible.
As well as appealing to walkers, the pub is a community hub, offering post office services every Tuesday morning and hosting a monthly book club. The licensee works hard to produce unusual and interesting events, such as beer tastings and jazz and curry nights.
The pub also has an award-winning garden with plans to brew beer next year from the home-grown hops.
What our customers say:
"Came across your pub today by chance and so glad we did. We enjoyed a lovely lunch, lots of interesting dishes to choose from and we will definitely be back." Nikki
